Why do you want an Open Book contract with your General Contractor?
An open book contract is an agreement between IRIS and our CLIENT where all costs are transparent, and profit is determined at the beginning of the project.
While this approach is not ideal for all construction projects, it can be useful with projects such as:
- Complex projects where design is still evolving: example: medical facilities construction
- Slightly larger projects: typically over $1m
- Innovation-driven builds: projects exploring new materials
How do our clients benefit?
IRIS will assist in the design of the project in the beginning to make sure the final pricing and project scope are consistent and cost effective.
IRIS will get 2-3 quotes for each trade (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) so our clients will get the best solution at the best price.
